Dr. Marc R. Levin, is a Board Certified Physician and Surgeon and a licensed Illinois Attorney.
Dr. Levin was born and raised in Chicago. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University
of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana, where he graduated cum laude, at the top of his class. In 1977, he
obtained his Medical Degree from the University of Illinois. He completed his initial residency
training in Internal Medicine at Loyola University Medical Center in suburban Chicago, and additional
residency training in Ophthalmology at the Medical College of Wisconsin Eye Institute. He later
underwent Fellowship training in Retinal Surgery at the prestigious Harvard Medical School and
Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary in Boston.
Dr. Levin has practiced medicine for over twenty-five years. Between 1982 and 1989,
Dr Levin practiced General Ophthalmology in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Between 1989-1990,
he served as a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Opthamology at Harvard Medical
School. For the past 17 years, he has practiced as a Retinal Surgeon in Chicago.
While practicing medicine full time, Dr. Levin attended Loyola University School of Law in Chicago,
where he graduated cum laude, at the top of his class, in 2000. Before joining Clewis Finn, Dr.
Levin practiced law with another prominent Chicago area law firm, where he assisted in the strategy and
litigation of numerous medical malpractice cases.
Dr. Levin is Of Counsel to Clewis Finn, where he assists with the evaluation, strategic planning,
and litigation of cases involving catastrophic personal injury, medical malpractice, and
nursing home abuse and neglect. Dr. Levin's intimate understanding of medical conditions
and their treatment and health care delivery processes enhances Clewis Finn's ability to
effectively serve its clients in all types of injury and wrongful death cases.
As a physician, Dr. Levin has published several medical articles and book chapters and is a member
of numerous medical and legal societies. He is a Fellow of the American College of Legal
Medicine and American Academy of Ophthalmology. He is a Member of the Illinois Association
of Ophthalmology, and American Society of Retina Specialists. He is also a member of the
Illinois State Bar Association.
Dr. Levin resides on Chicago's North Shore with his wife and two children.
